Demand Manager (LA)
LOCATION: Rubicon Project HQ (West LA)
Responsible for growing revenue and managing relationships with Rubicon’s leading Ad Networks & Demand Side Platform (DSP) partners while representing inventory from some of the top publisher brands on the web. You will be responsible for managing the entire client relationship and serve as the clients' primary contact, providing them with insight and advice regarding every aspect of their account.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of exceeding revenue goals, providing exceptional customer service by providing insights and optimization strategies while creating a sense of urgency inherent in working with a start up organization. The Account Manager must be resourceful, responsive, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. A positive attitude and professional demeanor is essential along with the flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meeting / exceeding individual quarterly revenue goals
- End to end campaign management and optimization for ad network’s, exchanges and DSP partners
- Tracking and analyzing campaign objectives and performance data to identify new growth opportunities
- Responsible for developing strong and effective working relationships at all levels with our demand partners
- Responsible for sourcing campaigns for publisher clients by aligning traffic and inventory with appropriate ad network’s and DSP partners based on geographic/contextual/demographic targeting, impression volumes and eCPM performance expectations
- Coordinate with internal groups to launch new campaigns and troubleshoot existing campaigns
- Collaborating with multiple departments including Business Development, Publisher Services, Ad Operations, Accounting, Engineering and Product Management
- Understanding Rubicon’s products and publisher inventory and effectively presenting these to our demand partners

- Ability to pitch and sell publisher inventory to appropriate buyers within the marketplace
- Willing and able to take full ownership of clients and their questions/issues
- Must be results driven and focused with great attention to detail
- Must be responsive, resourceful, professional , proactive and an independent problem solver
- Strong process, organizational and time management skills
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; post graduate degree preferred
- 3-4 years of online advertising experience working for an ad network, exchange or DSP
- 2 years of online advertising sales, account management or yield management experience
- Experience working in ad ops and familiar with 3rd party advertising tags
