Senior Software Developer, LAMP (LA)

LOCATION: Rubicon Project HQ (West LA)

Your job, should you accept it, is to extend the functionality of our existing application stack. This will require that you can fix bugs in code other people wrote, talk to product managers and ensure that what you are building is what our customers need, and engineer testable new features and components from scratch that fit within our technology ecosystem. Sometimes you'll have to do this work when you are not in the office, so working remote can't scare you off.

Expert level knowledge of server-side architecture and design are necessary, as you will be providing a vision for the future growth of the application stack. Guru level knowledge of a server-side programming language is required (PHP, Python, Java... does not matter provided learning PHP is enticing to you). You must be fluen twith HTML, CSS, JS (along with a framework), Unix flavored shell, and have above average RDBMS skills.

You should also have worked with and/or designed service oriented architectures, advanced db schemas, object oriented systems, ajaxy web applications, MVC frameworks and are well aware of the issues surrounding the software lifecycle. With 5+ years experience we expect that your resume will be Web 2.0 Buzzword Compliant, as well as include your CS bachelor or master's degree.
